Name: Darius Carlos Rucker.
Darius was born on May 13th 1966
in Charleston, South Carolina, where he grew up.
He has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is now married with a couple of kids,
two girls I believe.
The first instrument Darius learned how to play was the drums when
he was in sixth grade.
He says that in college Mark used to teach him the basics of guitar, and then he?o away and practice
and figure a few things out for himself. He also says his Mom inspired his singing, because she used to go around the house
singing all the time, and Darius never really realised his own singing talents all that much.
Darius also started his
singing career in gospel/school choirs. He then went on and teamed up with Mark (who, in college was in a dorm opposite Darius?o
make up an acoustic duo called the Wolf Brothers, before going on to form the band Hootie & the Blowfish.
Darius likes
to drink Budwiser, and from what I can make out, he also likes a drink of Jim Beam. His favourite meal is lasagne.
